In the Course of Human Affairs is in production, having recently completed filming historical recreations of key events which led to the drafting of the United States Constitution. In January of 1787, Shays’ Rebellion epitomizes the worst fears of the young nation, a bloody revolt against the current system of government. A few weeks later, delegates from twelve of the thirteen states gathered in New York City. Here, they acknowledge something must be done and agree to meet in Philadelphia. History now refers to the meeting in Philadelphia as the Constitutional Convention.
